Closing Ceremony of the Olympics

 Last Day, Sierra Sur Olympic Games

 

On Good Friday,  eighth of April, the ribbon that bound this festival at the very end was nothing more and nothing less than... Final matches between best teams survivors at this point! All games were awe-inspiring! Adrenaline seemingly spread around the school, while spectators were laughing and shouting out loud with excitement!

In the end, despite the unclear results, because of the high level shown at pitches, it was decided:

After matches were resolved, teachers jumped out onto the stage. Surprisingly, teachers had to play against students!

Once it finished, an AWESOME performance was displayed by... The Jackson 5!

 

Then, we attended the medals award ceremony.






 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And... Last but not least important! In last instance several events were performed:

An AWESOME parkour in which teachers participated!

 

 








 

As well as a beautiful dance performed by almost everyone!

Technology Department

How is the technology department involved in the Olympic games?   After the posts we have recently published, we hope that you are considering the big role that each department has in the making of the different things for the Olympic Games. So in this case, Anabel, who is the head of this department, designed the Olympic torch (that was actually REALLY big in size !!!) and the medals that were given to the winners, with the AWESOME collaboration of students of 3 ESO, who printed them 3D . The first position medal, as we know was a gold medal ( just joking, it was just gold in color) with a star and the number 1 in the middle. The second position, was a silver-colored one, with a symbol of a person running and also written " IES SIERRA SUR  21/22 " next to it. The medal for the third position was a bronze-colored, with a three-layered star in the middle and written IES SIERRA SUR around the star. PE Department

  Sports and PE. How did they organize the event? The only subject (department) that comes to our mind when talking about sports is obviously Physical Education. So in this post, we will explain to you guys how well the department team did for the great result of the school Olympics Games. In the first place, Alberto, who is the PE teacher of 1 ESO, had to value the fair play, teamwork, and also the designing process of the individual competitions. Then, Alejandro, who teaches 2, 3, and 4 ESO, also had to design the individual competitions   (2 ESO). For 3 ESO, he had to value the fair play and teamwork,  explain nutrition and energy systems and design the team competitions.  It was the same for 4 ESO but also included a training plan. And last but not least, Marco, who we all know, took charge of the application forms, training plans and the designing of the team competitions as well.
