Music Department

The incredible contribution of the music department to our Olympic Games

As we told you on our last post, on April 6th our first Olympic Games' opening ceremony was held, although we aren't going to repeat all of that! In fact, in this newest entry we want to focus on what our high school's music department had to offer.

To represent the event and each country, many flags, symbols and what we are focusing on this time, hymns, were made and chosen in order to honor the true purpose of these: to represent an idea or ideal for which a team and people stand. Ana Esperanza Moreno Ramos, our fantastic music teacher, along with her different classes worked together to choose the best music to constitute each country, which would end up being played by students from different levels with a xylophone!

As stated by Ana, while it was difficult to coordinate all of her students, most of them showed enthusiasm contributing their ideas and practicing with the instrument to give all of us, in the end, an amazing performance that really added up to the jovial ambient of this unforgettable experience.

Let's see some photos!∼

As well as a short clip of Europe's performance!
