Art Department
The principal role of the Art department in the Olympics Game event
As we previously posted explaining how the Music department managed to come across a realistic and unique event, in this post we will be talking about what the Art department did for making the event more COLOURFUL.
First of all, as we know, each continent was represented by its own COLOURFUL flag. So let us now explain how the flag designing process went on. Weeks before the event, the respective Art teachers started explaining to their students the value of each colour, what it meant, and how each of them represented something (culturally associated). For example, Europe with the colours blue and yellow, Asia with red, etc. It was to help the students (1 & 2 ESO) to get an idea about the flags. Then, they were asked to "invent" a design for the flags on their own and then they were told that the best ones would be selected to represent the continent. And so they did. They were really BRILLIANT in coming up with their ideas.
Later, after the flags were chosen by the respective teachers, the students painted some large pieces of cloth which would be used for the parade. And those were done by the AMAZING students of 4 ESO.
At last, a really big satisfaction was seen on each one's face who helped doing it because they came out better than expected.
At the time we interviewed Antonio, the Art teacher, he stated that the students seemed really interested in doing this activity and that despite having some students that were really naughty at the time of painting and made it look impossible, it was a good experience sharing the time with students and that also the new ideas they came up with, were the key to the success they finally reached.
*So now you know the great effort that was taken by teachers and students behind every single detail you could see !!!!!
