Mathematics everywhere. Also in the Olympic Games? We all have heard that MATHS is involved everywhere. Even in the food we eat. In everything we see. So here today, we will show you how it was also involved in the Olympic Games which were held in our high school. The students, with the help of their respective MATHS teachers, searched for information on the disciplines of the different sports by looking for perimeters and areas acquired in almost every sport performed in the Olympics. They took the next Olympics Games as a reference. They also did some Maths problems in their class by calculating the distance of the jumps, etc... All of them were super excited and always wanted more stuff to do (JUST JOKING HEHEHE....they are also students so it is normal to be a little lazy at the time of doing Maths, but despite the laziness, they had fun and could study a lot of new things). * W ould you like to do some Maths problems based on the Olympics too? Are you a super genius? If yes,...
About the Olympic Game's history ... In this post we will explain you guys what the History department did for the Olympic event. Weeks before this event, with our Geography teacher, Pilar, we, the students of 4 ESO started working on a project about the international Olympics event. Let us explain what it was about and how we did it. It consisted of searching information about the Olympic Games held in different years from 1896 to 2020. The students had to search for information about each event, the number of countries that participated, the emblem, and the historical context of that particular year. It was a group work, in which after doing it in Spanish, we had to translate it into English too. T hen, those projects were printed and displayed in the school entrance hall along with other chart projects that were done by 1 ESO students about particular sports performed in the Olympics. By doing these projects, we could study a lot about the past history of the Olymp...
Sports and PE. How did they organize the event? The only subject (department) that comes to our mind when talking about sports is obviously Physical Education. So in this post, we will explain to you guys how well the department team did for the great result of the school Olympics Games. In the first place, Alberto, who is the PE teacher of 1 ESO, had to value the fair play, teamwork, and also the designing process of the individual competitions. Then, Alejandro, who teaches 2, 3, and 4 ESO, also had to design the individual competitions (2 ESO). For 3 ESO, he had to value the fair play and teamwork, explain nutrition and energy systems and design the team competitions. It was the same for 4 ESO but also included a training plan. And last but not least, Marco, who we all know, took charge of the application forms, training plans and the designing of the team competitions as well. So, maybe when it is read it might seem an easy process, but SORRY MY FRIEND,...
